Awards from Optimistisc Worldview

Among 11 others, I was  awarded the following awards by Leah, I'm going to see if I can answer the questions while I have a little time here:

Somehow people think I should be awarded, don't ask me why! :)

OK, so first, 11 random things about myself...let's see...

1) I've never gone to the Barbers.
2) I haven't ever liked (fresh) tomatoes as far as I can remember.
3) I've saved several injured birds and animals in yrs. past.
A female Junco, saved from a window crash
4) I once fell, headfirst, from 12-15 ft in a small tree, onto some tomato cages.

Yes, this tree, but off the other side, and not at night!
 5) My favorite colors are Navy Blue, Maroon (or Dark Red), and Hunter Green.
6) I only use 5 x 7 (usually 100 pg.) notebooks for my Quiet Times. My current one is almost done, and covers a year and 3 1/2 months, leading into my next point...
7) My handwriting is usually about as small as this text.
8) I am the first of our family to be born in the U.S.
9) I've never broken any bones (as far as I know).
10) We still have a Christmas tree up, I guess it's going to turn into a Valentine's tree! :)
11) My worst animal is the Naked Mole Rat, besides looking terrible (as you can see), they live and act like termites!

OK, now I'll answer Leah's questions.

  1. If you could take a free trip to the moon, would you?    NO, I have no interest in risking my life for thrills, but I'm glad we have photos from up there, showing how awesome God is!
  2. How many awards do you currently hold? (in blogger world).   Just one other I think.
  3. Kruno Spisic
What is your favorite song?   I really like "In Dream and In Love" (U Snu I Ljubavi), a Croatian song, (although I don't know the language! :/ ), especially sung by Kruno Spisic (my fav. singer).
  4. If you could choose between a, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Lyamborghini Aventador or a Ferrari Enzo, which would be your choice? (keeping in mind it wouldn't cost you a thing.)   Hmm...Guess I'll have to go with the Eclipse, it looks like the only actually useful one out of them all!
  5. What time of day is your favorite?   Umm...7:30's usually friendly, a.m. or p.m.
  6. Describe in one or two words your personality type?   Easy-going (generally).
  7. What is your all time favorite season?    Spring.
  8. If you had to choose between a pet, Spider, Snake or Beetle. Which would you pick?   I'll take the snake any day, but if I could have all three, that'd be great too! :)
  9. Which is more common in your daily life, an upside down, or right side up smile?   None of the above, usually just straight! :|
  10. If you could meet any famous person, who would it be?   Oh boy!...there are waaay too many! John Powell, Robert E. Lee, and Jack O'brien are three that I can think of at the moment.
  11. Have these questions been quite random enough?   I'll say! Couldn't have been "randomer".

I don't have time to reward 11 people, and a lot of them would be doubles of whom Leah already awarded.

French Clep Test Passed!!

I went in to take the French Clep today, a 6-12 credit test (50-58 is 6, 59-80 is 12), and got a score of 68!! A full 12 college credits, giving me a good boost into my Junior year!

Had a fantastic time skating on the 28th, at the CHEF Ice Skating, talking with many rarely seen friends.

Hope to get a full post up soon, we'll see how that works out...

For now, I'm working on finishing my Art Fest. picture, and choosing my photos!

I'm a Junior!

This past Thursday, I took the Principles of Marketing Clep test, and passed with a score of 63! Since I now have 60 college credits, I'm half way through my degree, making me a college Junior! =D
Now onto French, a 6-12 credit test! (if you get a higher score, you get 12 credits)

BTW, I should have the Pal group  post out here in a few minutes...

A Great Little Video!

Although I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars, the way this 3 yr. old portrays it is amazing!
It really could have been any description, it's the character telling it that makes it great! :)

I didn't get any Pal group photos at the ball like I said I would, although I did add a lot to the Pal list! I'll have a post on that hopefully soon. I'm busy studying Principles of Marketing at the moment and there's a lot else going on, but I know you're all anxious to find out what the Pal group actually is! ;)

BTW, I accidentally put a poll out with the deadline for Jan. 2011, but fixed it to 2012 now!

Test passed, and got some bad birds.

I went to test today, for the Human Resource Management test, and passed with a score of 52, a little low, but at least a pass! Now on to Principles of Marketing.

Lately I have finally been able to shoot Starlings, though I am still waiting to get the scope mounts. (It's pretty difficult to sight down just the barrel to get an accurate shot since it doesn't have sights on it).
On the 1st, I got 2 Starlings in the morning, both wing shots. The first one I shot at twice, at a really close range after it fell, but somehow missed! I had to chase him down and corner him in a bush. The second was even harder to get: He fell on one side of a fence, then ran through to my side. I tried to aim for him, but he quickly went for some brushy grass. I chased after him, trying to keep him in the open, but soon lost track of where he went. After a while I went for a garden rake, and started to sift through the grass. Finally, he jumped out, but I'd left my gun behind, so I tried to get him with the rake. I missed, and he went back through the fence! Running along side, using the rake like a plunger, I finally got him, right before he reached another clump of brush. Triumphant again! :)
The same day, I set mousetraps in a bush where there were a lot of House Sparrows, and caught a female in one the following morning.

BTW, in Canada I saw a female Hooded Merganser at Niagara Falls, and added it to my life list.

While we were in Canada, visiting our Grandma the Thanksgiving week, two people, Kate and Britt awarded me the Stylish Blogger award. (Don't ask me why, I hardly ever post, and rarely change the look of it too often!)  Thanks guys!

I don't have much time to answer the 7 questions, or award any at the moment, but might do it later. Most of the awarding would probably be to those who already received it, though!

The 10th is the annual CHEF Christmas Ball. I'm planning on enlarging the Pal group during this time, but I won't tell you what that group is exactly, till after the mentioned event, so the numbers will be larger, and I'll have a group photo to go with it! :)
